Audi Announces 78 Consecutive Months of Record Sales

Earlier this month, Audi of America reported that the company sold 19,416 vehicles in June, marking 78 straight months of record sales for the company. The company revealed that sales grew 5.3 percent compared to June 2016 results, as the all-new Q5 and A5 Sportback helped to deliver the month's performance.

For the first six months 2017, Audi has sold 102,971 vehicles (which is more vehicles than the company sold in an entire calendar year prior to 2010), earning a 6.2 percent sales gain over the same time frame from 2016.

Audi sold 4,498 Q5 SUVs in June, driving the vehicle to a 17 percent year-to-date increase. The Q7 gained 19 percent compared to last June's numbers on 3,114 vehicles sold, and the SUV is up 14 percent for the year. The Q3 saw sales track up 1.3 percent for the month, and total Audi SUV sales are up 14 percent for the year-to-date.

Consumer demand for Audi sedans continues o outpace the overall sedan category, with the A4 sedan sales increasing 7.9 percent in June and 16 percent for the year. The A5 coupe saw sales mushroom 196 percent for June, and are up 55.5 percent for 2017.
